The MTN MiFi is a USB powered device that allows you to connect 5 WiFi enabled devices to the internet at the same time.
You can connect your WiFi enabled devices like

How to Use MTN's MiFi Device:
  • Insert your MTN SIM card via the SIM card slot interface at the back of the device
  • Connect the MiFi to your PC with the provided data cable (comes with a data cable)
  • Power on the MiFi by pressing and holding the power button until the light comes on
  • Double-click on the setup icon in the MiFi folder from your computer and wait for the software to install
  • Once the installation if completed, launch the application from your desktop(If you're having problems loading the page, check your browser proxy settings; be sure to select "Automatically detect settings")
  • Enter the default password(admin) when the software has launched
  • Recharge and activate any data plan from the subscription page
  • You can now launch your browser once you've received confirmation SMS
How to Use MTN MiFi in WiFi Mode
  • Ensure that your MiFi device is powered on
  • Turn on the WiFi on your laptop, or other WiFi enabled devices
  • The SSID for MTN MiFi is MTN MiFi E5830S
  • Connect to it
  • Enter the password (Yours is at the back of your MTN MiFi device)
Note that you can always modifiy the SSID whenever you desire

How to activate the free MTN MiFi Bundle
  • Launch the MiFi app
  • Start your your Internet browser (Internet Explorer is better)
  • Enter this address: http://192.168.1.1 in the address bar and enter
  • Type the login password (admin)
  • Click on SMS at the top of the screen and send MIFI to 131
  • You will then get an SMS notifying you that you have 5GB of data, valid for a month
  • ENJOY!
